Drawing Close to the Miracle of Christâs Birth
Scripture: âFor unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:and the government shall be upon his shoulder:and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God,The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.ââ Isaiah 9:6 (KJV)
Reflection: As Christmas draws near, our hearts naturally turn toward the mangerâthe quiet place where heaven touched earth and eternity stepped into time. The days leading up to Christmas are more than a countdown; they are an invitation to draw closer to the miracle we celebrate.
God did not send His Son wrapped in royalty, power, or earthly glory. He came wrapped in humility, gentleness, and love. A tiny child, born in a stable, became the greatest gift the world would ever receive.
Jesus came as:âš Wonderful â bringing awe and hopeâš Counsellor â guiding hearts with truth and wisdomâš Mighty God â powerful enough to saveâš Prince of Peace â calming every storm within us
As we approach Christmas Day, may we slow our pace and soften our hearts. Let us look beyond the decorations and traditions and remember that Christmas is about God keeping His promiseâa promise of salvation, redemption, and unending love.
The manger reminds us that no place is too small, no heart too humble, and no life too broken for Christ to enter. He came for the weary. He came for the lost. He came for us.
Meditation:Take a quiet moment today and picture the manger scene. Whisper:âThank You, Jesus, for coming for me.âLet gratitude and wonder fill your heart.
Prayer:Heavenly Father, as we draw closer to Christmas Day, help me prepare my heart to celebrate the birth of Your Son. Remove distractions and fill me with awe for the miracle of Jesus. Let my heart be a place of worship, gratitude, and peace as I remember the true meaning of this season. In Jesusâ precious name, Amen. đ
