Crockpot LasagnaĀ šŸ§€šŸ…

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef (or Italian sausage, or a mix)

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 jar (24 oz) pasta sauce (marinara or your favorite)

  • 1 can (15 oz) ricotta cheese (or cottage cheese for a lighter version)

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

  • 9–10 lasagna noodles (uncooked)

  • Optional: fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat. Stir in pasta sauce and set aside.

  2. In a bowl, mix ricotta (or cottage cheese), egg, parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

  3. Grease the crockpot lightly with non-stick spray. Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom.

  4. Break noodles to fit and place a single layer over the sauce.

  5. Spread a layer of the cheese mixture, followed by a handful of mozzarella.

  6. Repeat layers: sauce → noodles → cheese mixture → mozzarella, ending with sauce and mozzarella on top.

  7. Cover and cook on Low for 4–5 hoursĀ or High for 2–3 hours, until noodles are tender.

  8. Let rest 10–15 minutes before serving. Garnish with basil or parsley.
