🌙 Daily Devotional: “Grace for the Moments That Hurt”

Scripture:

“The Lord upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down.”— Psalm 145:14 (KJV)

Some moments in grief seem to appear without warning—a smell, a song, a passing thought—and suddenly your heart aches all over again. These moments can feel overwhelming, unfair, or even discouraging. You may wonder why the pain resurfaces when you thought you were beginning to heal.

But these moments do not mean you’re going backward. They mean you loved deeply.

And in those tender moments when your heart feels bowed low, God bends down with you. He does not rush you. He does not shame you for feeling the weight of absence. Instead, He gently places His hands beneath your spirit and lifts you up with grace you didn’t know you needed.

God’s comfort isn’t always loud. Sometimes it comes softly—in a memory that makes you smile,in a quiet breath of peace,in the strength to keep moving,in knowing your loved one’s impact still lives on.

There’s no right or wrong way to grieve. There is only one truth you can lean on: God is holding you even when you feel like you’re falling. His grace meets you exactly where you are, pouring strength into the cracks of your heart until hope begins to bloom again.

Let today remind you:You are not broken. You are not alone. You are being upheld by a God who understands every tear and carries every burden.

💛 Prayer:

Lord,Thank You for lifting me when I feel bowed down by grief. Give me grace for the moments that hurt and peace for the places that still feel tender. Remind me that Your love upholds me and that healing is not measured by how quickly I move forward, but by how closely I walk with You.In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
