šæ Daily Devotional: āHe Heals in the Quiet Placesā
Scripture:
āThe Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.āā Psalm 34:18 (KJV)
Grief changes you. It softens some places, breaks others, and awakens emotions you never expected to feel. Some days, it rises like a wave you didnāt see coming; on others, it settles quietly in the background, whispering reminders of what once was.
But even in those fragile momentsāespecially thereāGod is near. Not distant. Not silent. Not uninterested.Near.
He steps into the quiet spaces of your heart where words are hard to form. He understands the pain behind every tear, the ache carried in every memory, and the longing that surfaces during everyday moments.
Grief may make you feel alone, but you are never abandoned. Your sorrow is not a sign of weaknessāit is evidence of deep love. And God honors that love. He holds it gently, the way a Father holds a fragile treasure.
Healing will not come overnight. It will come slowlyāsoftlyālike morning light creeping into a dark room. One day youāll notice a moment of peace. Another day, a memory that brings a smile instead of a tear. God is working in those moments, shaping beauty from brokenness.
And through it all, He is near. Near to the brokenhearted, near to the weary, near to the grieving. You donāt have to hide your pain. You donāt have to heal quickly. You just have to rest in the One who heals hearts one breath at a time.
š Prayer:
Father,Thank You for staying close to me when my heart feels broken. Calm my spirit when the waves of grief feel heavy. Surround me with Your peace and remind me that You are healing me in ways I cannot yet see. Help me to trust Your timing and Your love as You walk with me through every step of this journey. In Jesusā Name, Amen.
