🌿 February 15 Grief Support Devotional: “The Day After Is Tender Too”

“The Day After Is Tender Too”

Scripture: “He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.”— Psalm 147:3 (KJV)

Sometimes the hardest part of a special day is the day after.

When the flowers are gone. When the social posts slow down. When the quiet settles back in.

If yesterday stirred emotions you tried to hold steady, today may feel tender. And that tenderness is not weakness—it is healing in progress.

God does not only comfort us on the obvious hard days.He tends to our hearts in the quiet aftermath too.

He binds wounds gently. He does not rush the mending. He does not shame the ache that lingers.

If your heart feels soft today, let it be.If tears come unexpectedly, let them.If you simply feel tired, rest.

Healing is not dramatic. It is often subtle, quiet, and slow. And God is working in ways you may not see yet—stitching peace into the places that still hurt.

Today, give yourself grace.Let God bind what feels fragile. And trust that love carried through grief is still something beautiful.

đŸ€ Prayer

Lord,Thank You for tending to my heart even after the difficult days pass. When grief feels tender and quiet, bind up my wounds gently. Help me rest in Your healing presence today. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
