I Am Who God Says I Am
Scripture (KJV):“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” – 1 Peter 2:9
Reflection: The enemy is relentless in trying to tear down our identity. He whispers lies—“You’re not good enough,” “You’ve failed too many times,” “You’ll never be who God wants you to be.” But those are not God’s words.
When God looks at you, He doesn’t see your failures—He sees your future. He doesn’t see your past—He sees your purpose. You are not defined by what others say, by your mistakes, or by the opinions of this world. You are defined by the Word of God, and He says you are loved, chosen, forgiven, and redeemed.
The enemy wants you to live in shame and doubt because he knows if you ever realize who you are in Christ, you’ll walk in power and confidence. You’ll stop believing lies and start living in truth.
You are a child of the Most High King. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). You are more than a conqueror through Christ (Romans 8:37). You are His masterpiece, created for good works (Ephesians 2:10).
So today, silence the enemy’s voice and let God’s truth fill your heart. When Satan says, “You can’t,” remind him that God already said, “You can.”
Devotional Thought: Your identity isn’t found in your past or your pain—it’s found in the promises of God. Stand tall. You are who He says you are!
Prayer: Father, thank You for reminding me that I am not who the world or the enemy says I am—I am who You say I am. Help me to walk in confidence, boldness, and grace today, knowing that I am loved, chosen, and called for a purpose. Silence every lie that tries to steal my joy, and fill my heart with Your truth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
