Don’t Lose Heart—God Is Working in the Waiting

Scripture (KJV):“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” – Isaiah 40:31

Reflection:Waiting can be one of the hardest things we ever have to do. It tests our faith, our patience, and our peace. The enemy loves to whisper during the waiting—telling us that God has forgotten us, that our prayers don’t matter, or that our time has passed. But those are lies straight from the pit of hell.

God never forgets His children. When we wait on Him, we are not wasting time—we are being strengthened. He uses seasons of waiting to build endurance, deepen faith, and draw us closer to His heart.

Think of the eagle mentioned in this verse—it doesn’t fight against the wind; it uses it. The very winds that look like obstacles become the means by which it rises higher. In the same way, the winds in your life—the trials, the delays, the uncertainties—can lift you closer to God if you let Him carry you.

Don’t lose heart. What God has promised, He will fulfill. You may not see it yet, but He’s working behind the scenes, preparing blessings beyond what you can imagine.

Devotional Thought:When it feels like nothing is happening, trust that God is doing His best work in the silence. The waiting season is never wasted.

Prayer:Lord, thank You for the strength that comes from waiting on You. Help me to trust Your timing and to believe that You are working, even when I can’t see it. Renew my strength today, Father. Lift my spirit like the eagle and remind me that Your promises never fail. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
