đ Daily Devotional â The Wonder of a Willing Heart
Theme:Â Saying Yes to God in the Holy Moments
Scripture:âBehold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word.ââ Luke 1:38 (KJV)
Reflection:As Christmas draws ever closer, we are reminded that the miracle of Christâs birth began with a willing heart. Maryâs words were simple, yet they carried eternal weight: âBe it unto me according to thy word.â
She did not have all the details. She did not know how the journey would unfold. But she trusted the God who was writing the story.
Christmas teaches us that God often works through quiet obedience and surrendered hearts. The greatest miracle the world has ever known came not through power or position, but through humility, faith, and trust.
God still looks for willing hearts todayânot perfect ones, not fearless ones, but hearts that say, âLord, I trust You.â When we surrender our plans, expectations, and uncertainties to Him, He does beautiful and unexpected things through our lives.
As we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Savior, may we echo Maryâs faith. May we open our hearts fully and say yes to Godâs will, knowing He is always faithful.
Meditation:Sit quietly and reflect on this question:Where is God inviting me to trust Him more deeply?Offer that place to Him with a willing heart.
Prayer:Father, thank You for using humble and willing hearts to accomplish Your will. As Christmas approaches, help me surrender my plans and trust Your purposes. Teach me to say yes to You with faith, obedience, and peace, knowing You are always at work for good. In Jesusâ name, Amen. đ
