âCarrying Love Into a New Monthâ
âTo appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourningâŠââ Isaiah 61:3 (KJV)
A new month begins todayânot as a signal that grief should be smaller, but as a reminder that love continues forward.
February 1st can feel complicated. The calendar turns, but the heart still carries what it always has. Grief does not reset with a new month, and God never expects it to. Instead, He meets you right where you are and walks with you into what comes next.
Today is not about âstarting over. âIt is about carrying love forward.
You carry it in memories. You carry it in stories. You carry it in the quiet moments when the ache reminds you how deeply you loved.
God promises beautyânot instead of ashes, but from them. Beauty formed through remembrance. Beauty shaped by love that refuses to disappear. Beauty found in the courage to keep living, breathing, and believing even when grief still walks beside you.
As this month begins, give yourself permission to move gently.Honor the love you still carry.Write down memories when your heart nudges you to.Speak their name.Share their story.
This is not weakness. This is legacy.
Your loved oneâs life mattered.Your grief matters. And God is with youâturning sorrow into something meaningful, sacred, and lasting.
February begins not with forgetting, but with faithful remembrance and hope that continues to grow, one quiet step at a time.
đ€ Prayer
Lord,As this new month begins, hold my heart gently. Help me carry love forward without fear or guilt. Give me strength for the days ahead and courage to remember well. Turn the ashes of grief into beauty through love, memory, and hope. Walk with me through February and remind me that You are near.In Jesusâ Name, Amen.
