🌿 February 11 Grief Support Devotional: “God Walks With You Through the Empty Spaces”

“God Walks With You Through the Empty Spaces”

Scripture: “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me
”— Psalm 23:4 (KJV)

Grief often leaves behind empty spaces—an empty chair, a quiet room, a place in your heart that feels untouched and tender.

Those spaces can ache in ways words can’t explain.

But God does not avoid the emptiness. He walks with you through it.

Psalm 23 doesn’t promise that valleys won’t come—it promises that God will be present in them. He doesn’t rush you past the pain or pretend the loss isn’t real. He steps into the valley with you, steady and faithful.

When the emptiness feels loud, He is there. When the silence feels heavy, He is there. When memories make the ache sharper, He is still there.

You don’t have to fill the empty spaces today. You don’t have to make sense of them. You don’t have to walk through them alone.

God’s presence is enough to sustain you—one step, one breath, one moment at a time.

đŸ€ Prayer

Lord, thank You for walking with me through the empty spaces grief has left behind. When the valley feels heavy, and the silence feels deep, remind me that You are near. Hold my heart gently today and guide me with Your peace. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
