🌷 FOOD FOR THOUGHT: FAITHFULNESS DOESN’T MEAN THE ROAD WILL ALWAYS BE EASY 🌷
Sometimes following God means taking two steps forward and one step back. But even when life feels like it is moving backward, God is still working!
Have you ever felt like you were doing everything God called you to do, yet nothing seemed to be going right?
You pray, you trust, you obey, and you try your very best to walk in God's will. Then suddenly, another obstacle appears. Another disappointment. Another door closes.
You begin to wonder, "Lord, am I doing something wrong? Am I really where You want me to be?"
I believe we have all experienced moments like this.
Think about the Apostle Paul. He faithfully traveled from city to city, preaching the Gospel and sharing the love of Jesus Christ. Some people gladly received God's Word, while others rejected it. There were times when many souls were reached, followed by times when Paul faced angry crowds, persecution, and even threats against his life.
Yet Paul kept going!
His difficult circumstances did not mean he was outside the will of God. They were part of the journey of faithfully serving Him.
📖 Galatians 6:9 (KJV)"And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."
Oh, how we need to remember that scripture!
Sometimes we measure our success by what we can see. We look at the numbers, the results, the open doors, and the approval of others.
But God sees something much deeper. He sees our hearts, our obedience, and our faithfulness when nobody else is watching.
Just because something becomes difficult doesn't mean God didn't call you to it.
Just because someone rejects what you're doing doesn't mean God isn't pleased with your obedience.
And just because you experience a setback doesn't mean you have failed.
📖 2 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV)"For we walk by faith, not by sight:"
I want to encourage someone today, and remind myself as well: Don't give up just because the journey becomes difficult.
Keep praying. Keep trusting. Keep serving. Keep loving. Keep doing what God has placed upon your heart.
There will be mountains to climb, valleys to walk through, and days when you wonder if you're making any difference at all.
But remember, God never promised us a life without trials. He promised to be with us through them.
📖 Isaiah 41:10 (KJV)"Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."
❤️ Something to Think About Today
Have you allowed a difficult situation, someone's criticism, or a disappointment to make you question what God has called you to do?
Maybe that setback isn't a sign to quit. Maybe it's an opportunity to trust God more deeply.
Remember, our calling is to be faithful. We must leave the results in God's hands.
🙏 My Prayer Today
Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding me that faithfulness doesn't always mean everything will go smoothly. Lord, forgive me for the times I have allowed setbacks, discouragement, or the opinions of others to make me question Your calling upon my life.
Help me to recognize the difference between a door You are closing and an obstacle I simply need Your strength to overcome.
Give me wisdom to know when to move forward, patience when I must wait, and courage when the road becomes difficult.
Lord, help me to remain faithful even when I cannot see the results. Remind me that my purpose is not to please everyone, but to honor You in all that I do.
And when I grow weary, strengthen my heart and remind me that You are still working, even when I cannot see it.
In Jesus' precious name, Amen. ❤️
🌻 Remember this today: A setback does not erase God's calling, and a difficult season does not mean God has abandoned you. Keep your eyes on Jesus!
Have a beautiful and blessed Friday!
