☕ Food for Thought: FIGHT BACK! ⚔️

Good morning, family and friends. ❤️

As I sit here with my coffee and Bible this morning, I'm still thinking about the Sword of the Spirit.

"...and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:" — Ephesians 6:17 KJV

Something really stood out to me:

Christian, WE ARE NOT HELPLESS!

God didn't give us His armor and tell us to just stand there while the enemy attacks. He gave us a weapon—His Word.

The Bible says:

"Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." — James 4:7 KJV

Look at Jesus when Satan tempted Him in the wilderness. Each time Satan came against Him, Jesus answered:

"IT IS WRITTEN..."

Jesus responded with God's Word.

And here's what I need to remember in my own life: when the enemy fills my mind with fear, doubt, temptation, discouragement, or lies, I don't have to sit there and entertain those thoughts.

I CAN FIGHT BACK WITH THE TRUTH. ⚔️

When fear says, "You can't do this," I need to know what God says.

When worry says, "Everything is falling apart," I need to know what God says.

When the enemy reminds me of my past, I need to know what God says.

But here's the thing:

I can't use a Sword I don't know how to handle.

That's why reading and studying our Bible matters so much.

We can't depend on somebody else's knowledge of Scripture. We need to hide God's Word in our own hearts.

"Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee." — Psalm 119:11 KJV

I'm asking myself this morning:

When the battle comes, do I know enough of God's Word to answer, "IT IS WRITTEN"?

🙏 Lord, help me study Your Word and hide it in my heart. When fear, temptation, doubt, or lies come against me, remind me that I am not helpless. Teach me to recognize the enemy's lies and answer them with Your truth. In Jesus' name, Amen.
