☕ Food for Thought: Maybe That Was the Purpose

Good morning, family and friends. ❤️

Yesterday I was at the shop, and it was a little slow.

Now, from a business perspective, we might look at a slow day and think, "Well, today wasn't very productive."

But God reminded me that His definition of a successful day can look very different from ours.

Because while business may have been slow, God opened a door.

I had an opportunity to share my testimony and tell others just how AMAZING God has been in my life.

And I thought afterward...

Maybe that was the purpose of the day.

Maybe God slowed everything else down long enough for a conversation that needed to happen.

Sometimes we're so focused on what we think should be happening that we almost miss what God is doing right in front of us.

The Bible says:

"Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;" — Psalm 107:2 KJV

I will never be ashamed to tell somebody what Jesus has done for me.

I've walked through valleys.

I've experienced heartbreak.

I've had prayers answered differently than I expected.

I've watched doors close and wondered why—only to see God open better ones later.

I've experienced times when I didn't understand what God was doing.

But through it ALL, He has been faithful.

That's why I can smile.

That's why I can have joy.

That's why I can keep going.

And that's why I will continue sharing my testimony.

Not because my life has been perfect, but because my God has been faithful.

Revelation 12:11 tells us:

"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony..."

Someone needs to hear what God has brought you through.

Someone needs to know that the valley doesn't last forever.

Someone needs to know that Jesus still saves, restores, comforts, provides, forgives, and changes lives.

And sometimes God will create an opportunity in the most ordinary place—at work, in a store, over a cup of coffee, standing in a checkout line, or during a seemingly "slow" afternoon.

So today my prayer isn't simply that you hear my testimony.

My prayer is much deeper than that.

I pray that you get to know Jesus for YOURSELF.

Don't just know what your momma said about Him.

Don't just know what your preacher said about Him.

Don't just know what you've read in someone else's testimony.

Know Him for yourself.

Talk to Him.

Open His Word.

Call upon His name.

Experience His love, grace, mercy, forgiveness, peace, and faithfulness personally.

Because once you truly experience Jesus for yourself, nobody can convince you that He isn't real.

"O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him." — Psalm 34:8 KJV

Yesterday may have been a slow day at the shop...

but it was a beautiful day in the Kingdom.

If one conversation helps point one heart toward Jesus, then that day was anything but wasted.

❤️ Lord, give me opportunities to tell someone about You, and give me the courage to recognize them when they come. Let my life be a testimony of Your goodness. Most of all, let someone come to know Jesus for themselves. Amen.
