☕ Food for Thought: TRUST GOD IN ALL THINGS ❤️
Good morning, family and friends!
As I sit here with my morning coffee and God’s Word, this is on my heart:
TRUST GOD IN ALL THINGS—NOT JUST SOME THINGS.
I’m 55 years old, and if there is one thing life has taught me, it’s that when I truly trust God, His way is so much better than anything I could have dreamed up for myself.
Now, have I always done that? Absolutely not! 😂
There have been plenty of times when Sarah thought, “I can fix this!”
BIG MISTAKE!
Sometimes the more I tried to fix things myself, the bigger mess I made.
I’ve learned that there are things I need to simply LET GO AND LET GOD.
The Bible says:
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” — Proverbs 3:5–6 KJV
Notice it says ALL thine heart and ALL thy ways.
Not just the big things.
Not just the emergencies.
Not just when we have run out of our own ideas.
ALL THINGS. ❤️
I’m learning to put it ALL in His hands.
God is a merciful, loving Heavenly Father, and one thing I know from experience is:
HE HEARS US.
His answer may not always come when I want it. It may not look anything like the answer I had pictured.
But I’ve lived long enough to look back at situations I once worried myself sick over and say:
“Lord, now I understand why You didn’t let me have MY way.”
His ways really are better.
So today, I’m taking life one day at a time.
I don’t have to figure out next month today.
I don’t have to know how everything is going to work out.
I just need to trust the One who already knows tomorrow.
🙏 Lord, help me trust You with ALL of my life. Forgive me for the times I try to take things back into my own hands. When I don’t understand what You’re doing, help me trust Your heart. Direct my steps, give me wisdom, and remind me that I don’t have to have everything figured out because YOU do. In Jesus’ name, Amen. ❤️
TAKE IT ONE DAY AT A TIME.
Pray about it. Give it to God. Leave it with Him. And trust Him with ALL things—not just some things. ❤️
God is so, so good!
