âThe LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.ââNahum 1:7 (KJV)
Grief can make the world feel unsteadyâlike the ground beneath us has shifted and nothing feels secure anymore. Yet even in those moments, God reminds us that He is our strong hold. He is unmovable when everything else feels fragile.
The Lord doesnât simply see your painâHe knows it. He understands the deep ache that words canât express, the quiet tears that fall when no one is watching, and the longing in your heart that never really goes away.
Through it all, He holds you close. His presence becomes your shelter, His peace your resting place. When the day feels too heavy, lean on Him. When the night feels too long, whisper His name. Godâs goodness hasnât changedâit remains constant, steady, and true.
You can trust Him, even here. You can rest in Him, even when your heart feels broken. Because He is good, and He never lets go of those who trust Him.
Reflection for Today:Where do you need God to be your strong hold today? Speak His name over that place and let His peace settle your spirit.
Prayer:Lord, thank You for being my strong hold in every season of life. When the waves of grief rise, help me to rest in Your presence. Hold me steady, renew my strength, and remind me that I am safe in Your hands. Amen.
