🌿✨ Holy Monday – A Call to Cleanse Our Hearts ✨🌿
Holy Monday reminds us of two powerful moments in Jesus’ final days before the cross:
🌿 Jesus cleanses the temple🌿 Jesus curses the fig tree
đź“– The Cleansing of the Temple
Jesus entered the temple and found it filled with buying, selling, and corruption.Instead of a place of prayer, it had become a place of profit.
“My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.”— Matthew 21:13 (KJV)
He overturned the tables—not out of anger alone, but out of righteous love for what is holy.
🌿 The Fig Tree Lesson
Jesus saw a fig tree full of leaves—but with no fruit.
“Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever.”— Matthew 21:19 (KJV)
It looked alive… but it wasn’t producing anything.
đź’ś The Deeper Meaning
Holy Monday is not just about what Jesus did—it’s about what He is calling us to do.
🙏 Cleanse our hearts🙏 Remove anything that doesn’t honor God🙏 Bear real, spiritual fruit
God is not looking for outward appearance—He is looking for a heart that is truly His.
🙏 Heart Check for Today
Is my life a house of prayer?
Are there things in my heart that need to be overturned?
Am I producing fruit… or just leaves?
🌿 Today’s Reminder
Jesus lovingly cleanses what He wants to use.
He doesn’t expose to shame us—He reveals to restore us.
đź’ś Lord, search my heart. Remove anything that does not belong, and help me to bear fruit that brings You glory.
