šæāØ Holy Monday ā A Call to Cleanse Our Hearts āØšæ
Holy Monday reminds us of two powerful moments in Jesusā final days before the cross:
šæ Jesus cleanses the templešæ Jesus curses the fig tree
š The Cleansing of the Temple
Jesus entered the temple and found it filled with buying, selling, and corruption.Instead of a place of prayer, it had become a place of profit.
āMy house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.āā Matthew 21:13 (KJV)
He overturned the tablesānot out of anger alone, but out of righteous love for what is holy.
šæ The Fig Tree Lesson
Jesus saw a fig tree full of leavesābut with no fruit.
āLet no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever.āā Matthew 21:19 (KJV)
It looked alive⦠but it wasnāt producing anything.
š The Deeper Meaning
Holy Monday is not just about what Jesus didāitās about what He is calling usĀ to do.
š Cleanse our heartsš Remove anything that doesnāt honor Godš Bear real, spiritual fruit
God is not looking for outward appearanceāHe is looking for a heart that is truly His.
š Heart Check for Today
Is my life a house of prayer?
Are there things in my heart that need to be overturned?
Am I producing fruit⦠or just leaves?
šæ Todayās Reminder
Jesus lovingly cleanses what He wants to use.
He doesnāt expose to shame usāHe reveals to restore us.
š Lord, search my heart. Remove anything that does not belong, and help me to bear fruit that brings You glory.
