āThe LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.āāPsalm 138:8 (KJV)
When loss enters our lives, it can feel like everything has been left unfinishedādreams, moments, conversations that never got to happen. But Godās Word reminds us that He is not done working. The Lord will perfectāor completeāall that concerns you.
Even through the heartbreak, He is still writing your story. Every tear, every prayer, and every step forward becomes part of the masterpiece He is shaping. The pain youāve endured is not wastedāit becomes the soil where faith grows and where purpose begins to bloom again.
Godās mercy endures forever. That means even when we canāt see the purpose yet, His love is still at work. Healing may come slowly, but it willĀ come. And in His perfect time, the Lord will bring beauty, peace, and new beginnings from the places that once felt broken.
You are not forgotten, and your story is not over. The God who began a good work in you will finish itābeautifully, faithfully, and fully.
Reflection for Today: What part of your heart still feels unfinished after loss? Trust that God is still working in that place, perfecting it with His mercy.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for never leaving the work You began in me. Even when I canāt see how things will come together, help me to trust that You are making all things new. Heal whatās broken, strengthen whatās weak, and fill me with hope for the days ahead. Amen.
