Day 12 ā October 12th: When God Says Wait
šļø Key Scripture (KJV):
āRest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.āā Psalm 37:7
š Devotional Thought:
Waiting is one of the hardest parts of walking in Godās will. We live in a world that rewards speed, yet God often calls us to slow down and wait for His perfect timing. When He says wait, itās not a denialāitās preparation.
While we wait, God is working behind the scenesāshaping our hearts, strengthening our faith, and aligning circumstances we canāt yet see. Impatience leads to mistakes, but trust in Godās timing leads to blessing.
Learning to wait is learning to rest. Itās surrendering control and choosing peace instead of worry. Godās delays are never wasted time; theyāre divine pauses filled with purpose.
š Prayer Prompt:
Lord, teach me to rest in You while I wait. Help me trust that Your timing is perfect and that Your plan is always for my good. When I grow restless, remind me that patience is part of walking in Your will.
āļø Reflection Questions:
⢠How do I usually respond when God tells me to wait?⢠What has God taught me through past seasons of waiting?⢠How can I practice patience and trust while waiting for His direction now?
