“It’s Okay to Miss Them and Still Hope”

🌿 Daily Devotional: “It’s Okay to Miss Them and Still Hope”

Scripture:

“And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”— Romans 5:5 (KJV)

Some days, missing them feels overwhelming. The ache comes quietly or all at once—through memories, traditions, or moments you never expected to feel so heavy. Grief reminds us of what was lost, but it also reminds us of how deeply we loved.

And here is the truth God wants your heart to hear today:Missing them does not mean you have lost hope.

You can grieve and still hope. You can cry and still believe. You can ache and still trust God with your future.

Hope doesn’t erase sorrow—it coexists with it. Hope is not pretending everything is okay. Hope is trusting that God’s love is still at work in your heart, even when it hurts.

Romans 5:5 tells us that hope does not disappoint us because God’s love is poured into our hearts. That love comforts you when the tears fall, steadies you when emotions rise, and gently carries you forward when you’re not sure how to take the next step.

Today, give yourself permission to feel both:the missing and the hope, the sorrow and the trust, the tears and the quiet strength God is growing within you.

You are not weak for missing them. You are human. You are loving. And you are still held by a God who understands every part of your heart.

💛 Prayer:

Lord,Thank You for allowing me to grieve honestly and hope faithfully. When missing my loved one feels heavy, remind me that Your love is still working in my heart. Hold me in Your peace today and help me trust You with both my sorrow and my hope.In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
