📖 The True Meaning of Christmas — December Bible Study Day 15 –

December 15th: Welcoming Jesus Into Our Daily Lives📖 Luke Chapter 15

🕊️ Key Scripture (KJV):“For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”— Luke 19:10(Theme reflected throughout Luke 15)

📚 Devotional Thought:

Luke 15 is one of the most comforting chapters in all of Scripture because it reveals the heart of God toward the lost, the wandering, and the broken.

Jesus tells three powerful parables:• the lost sheep• the lost coin• the lost son

Each story carries the same beautiful truth:God actively seeks what is lost — and rejoices when it is found.

This is the true meaning of Christmas.

Jesus didn’t come for the perfect. He came for the wandering sheep. He came for the overlooked coin.He came for the prodigal heart that thought it had gone too far.

Christmas is God saying, “You matter to Me.”It is Heaven rejoicing over one repentant heart. It is love running toward us, not away from us.

The father in the story of the prodigal son doesn’t wait with folded arms or words of judgment. He runs. He embraces. He restores. He celebrates.

That is who God is.

As we move closer to Christmas Day, Luke 15 reminds us that the birth of Jesus was not random or accidental. It was intentional, loving, and deeply personal. Jesus came to bring us home — back to the Father’s heart.

No matter where you are today…No matter what season you’re in…No matter what you’ve walked through…

Jesus is still seeking.Jesus is still welcoming.Jesus is still restoring.

🎄 Christmas Reflection: The Open Door at Christmas

Many Christmas traditions include open doors — welcoming guests, hosting meals, gathering family. This reflects the open heart of God shown in Luke 15.

Christmas is an open invitation:Come home.Come forgiven.Come restored.Come loved.

🙏 Prayer Prompt:

Lord, thank You for loving me enough to seek me when I wandered.Help me never forget the joy of being found and restored by You.Teach me to reflect Your heart by welcoming, loving, and forgiving others this Christmas season.

✍️ Reflection Questions:

• Which parable in Luke 15 speaks most deeply to my heart today?• Where has God restored me in ways I didn’t deserve?• How can I show the welcoming love of the Father to someone else this week?
