🍗 Chicken & Dumpling Camp Stew

A cold-day classic — tender chicken, rich broth, and soft dumplings simmered slow.

Serves: 6–8Cook Time: 45 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 2 carrots, sliced

  • 2 celery stalks, chopped

  • 4 cups chicken broth

  • 1 tsp thyme

  • Salt & black pepper

Dumplings

  • 1½ cups biscuit dough, cut into pieces

Instructions

  1. Sauté onion, carrots, and celery in butter.

  2. Add broth, chicken, thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer 25 minutes.

  3. Drop dumplings into stew. Cover and simmer 12–15 minutes until fluffy.
