đż Daily Devotional â April 17, 2025 Title: âWhen the Wait Feels Longâ
Scripture:"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."â Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)
Devotion:Waiting can feel like the hardest part of the journey. Whether it's waiting on a breakthrough, a healing, a reconciliation, or an answered prayer, it can wear us down emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. But God never wastes the wait.
Isaiah reminds us that those who wait upon the Lordânot in frustration or hopelessness, but in faithful expectationâwill find renewed strength. Like eagles soaring high above the storms, God promises weâll rise above the things trying to pull us down.
Maybe today youâre tired of waiting. Maybe your heart is growing weary. But donât give up. God sees you. Heâs working behind the scenes in ways you canât imagine. Trust His timingâitâs perfect, even when it feels delayed. The strength you need is not found in figuring it out but in surrendering it to Him.
While you wait, worship. While you wait, pray. While you wait, believe. God isnât lateâHeâs building something beautiful in you.
Reflection Questions:
What area of your life feels like it's in a season of waiting?
How can you shift from frustration to faithful expectation today?
What promise from Godâs Word can you cling to in the waiting?
Prayer:Father, thank You for being with me in every seasonâincluding the waiting. Help me trust You even when I donât see the full picture. Renew my strength today, Lord. Lift my eyes above the noise and distractions, and let me soar like an eagleâresting in Your promise and peace. In Jesusâ name, Amen.
