✍️ Writer’s Daily Devotional – October 5, 2025 Theme: Following Your Calling to Write

Encouraged to Encourage Scripture: “Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.”—1 Thessalonians 5:11 (KJV)

Devotional: As writers, one of the greatest gifts we can offer is encouragement. Words hold power—the power to lift up, to inspire, and to remind others of God’s love and faithfulness.

In a world filled with criticism and comparison, your words can be a refuge of hope. Every time you write something that comforts or strengthens another, you are partnering with God in His ministry of encouragement.

Even when you feel weary or unsure of your own journey, God can use your writing to refresh others—and in turn, refresh you. A single sentence inspired by Him can reach hearts in ways you may never see.

So today, write to build up. Write to heal. Write to remind others that they are loved, chosen, and never alone.

Reflection Prompt: Who might need a word of encouragement from you today? How can your writing reflect God’s heart of comfort?

Prayer: Lord, thank You for the gift of encouragement. Help me to use my words to build up others and shine Your light in dark places. Let my writing be filled with grace, hope, and truth. In Jesus’ name, amen.
